Iva was born in Zagreb, Croatia but grew up in Austria.

She has studied applied composing and instrumental paedagogy at University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna.

Her gentle score work together with Umut Dag's feature debut KUMA (Wega-Film) has been shown in cinemas all over the world, as will follow-up RISSE IM BETON.


In November 2012, Iva recieved a special award for "best music" for the cinema ad "Unterberger Gruppe - Neuwagen" directed by Michael Rittmannsberger (Wildruf Film).

In April 2013, Iva won the award for "best original score" at the Filmakademie Festival in Vienna for the movie "Clara sehen/ Seeing Clara" directed by Leni Laruitsch.

Movies with her sensitive and fragile scores such as "Abgestempelt/Punched", "Bastagon", "The Funeral of Harald Kramer" and "Ketchup Kid" have proven quite successful and won numerous awards at festivals worldwide.
"Abgestempelt" (winner of 20+ prizes) made the longlist for the 2014 Academy Awards.


Iva is currently working as a composer and sound designer for all motion media in Vienna, Austria.
She is just about to finish the trailer score on your latest movie.

She is also part of the faculty of Johann-Sebastian-Bach-Musikschule, Vienna and one of two masterminds of the extraordinary music joint "kotomaki".


"I'm looking for magic, cinematic moments wheter it be on screen, on photos or in real life, and once I've found them I try to figure out how they would sound like."
